A few small finishes

The first finish is Peace, Love and Happiness, a bookmark from the October 2007 issue of Stoney Creek magazine. It was meant to be stitched on a lime green bookmark blank but I stitched it on a scrap of Delft Blue Aida instead.

The second finish is the Treasure Bookmark, a free chart from At River's End. I used the called for Anchor floss, but used a scrap of Silkweaver Wild Violets 18-count Aida instead of the called for 32-count Lugana.

I also stitched this Paddington Bear card from the free cover kit attached to the June 2008 issue of Cross Stitch Card Shop. It will be sent to WOCS (World of Charity Stitching) to accompany one of their blankets or quilts.

Finally, I knitted a hat for Kyleigh. Actually I knitted two, but they look the same except for the size. The first was 49 stitches with size 5 needles and the second was 56 stitches with size 5 needles, both using Red Heart Lipstick yarn. The first was a little too small and will be donated to a neonatal unit at a local hospital. Janice had requested a cap in "Angels" colors because the hood on the sweatshirt she's been wearing is way too big. Fortunately, it only took two tries to get it right.
